Black Belt grading

Congratulations to Jasmine, Declan, April and Kevin, who all earned their First Degree Black Belt in Cobra Martial Arts this morning!

They all put on an hour long display of techniques, defences, weapons, pad rounds and sparing rounds.

We are all very proud of them and their achievements. A Black Belt requires hard work, perseverance, sacrifice and discipline. These are life lessons which simply cannot be taught in an environment without struggle, which is why Martial Arts teaches so much more than punching and kicking.

All four students had been training in Cobra for more than 4 years. The last 6 months have been especially tough as they all have been working hard to perfect their techniques with their hard work paying off today.

All four have a bright future in martial arts, with 3 out of 4 of them assisting their fellow students by helping to instruct beginner martial artists. We wish you all the best for your future training, and perhaps after a week of rest, are looking forward to training for your second degree black belt!

A big thanks to the support team including Claudia, Mrs M, Josh, Chris, Brittney, Tom, parents and partners.

Well Done!
